We are delighted to announce the upcoming Ward 7 - Business Awards, an initiative that celebrates and recognizes outstanding local businesses for their contributions to our community. This event provides an excellent platform to showcase innovation, resilience, and leadership within Mississauga’s local business sector.

This year’s awards will recognize achievements across multiple categories, and winners will be chosen through popular vote.

How the Awards Work

Nominations

• The program begins with the nomination stage.

• You can nominate a business of your choice in specific categories by visiting www.dipikadamerla.ca.

• Nominations open: January 15, 2026

• Nominations Close: Feb 25, 2026

Voting

• Once all nominations are collected, shortlisted businesses will move to the voting stage.

• Voting: Feb 26 – March 20, 2026

• Vote for your favourite business right here on this page (starting Feb 26, 2026)

Winners

• Winners are determined by the highest number of votes in each category.

• The Awards Ceremony will be held on March 31, 2026. Details on location and time will be posted on our website soon.

• Long Serving Business Award (in business over 20 years)

• Best New Business Award

• Best Maintained Property

• Best Independent Grocery Store (non-chain)

• Best Bakery

• Best Coffee Shop 

• Best Nail Salon 

• Best Hair Salon 

• Best Car Dealership

• Best Restaurant

Rules for Nomination

• The nominated business must be located within Ward 7. (See map outlining Ward 7 boundaries)

• Any disputes related to eligibility will be settled by the Office of the Ward 7 Councillor.

• Nomination Period: January 15, 2026 – February 25, 2026

• Voting Period: February 26, 2026 – March 20, 2026

How to Nominate a Ward 7 Business

You can nominate a Ward 7 business by completing the Online Form

• Select the award category for the nominated business.

• If you are nominating a business for multiple awards, please submit a separate form for each category.

• A business can only be nominated for one category by a single person.

• Include the full mailing address for the nominated business.
