Recognizing the Hindu Swastik: A Step Forward in Cultural Understanding

Three years ago, a 10-year-old Mississauga student was told to remove the Hindu Swastik from her school heritage box project.

Today, the same school proudly displayed it during their Hindu Heritage celebrations.

This moment reflects the power of education, dialogue, and community advocacy in correcting long-standing misconceptions between the Hindu Swastik and the Nazi Hakenkreuz.
