41 Acre Park

As many of you are aware, increasing green space in Ward 7 is a signature project for me.

I am thrilled that the brand new 41-acre park system in the heart of Ward 7 is on track and by the time this newsletter hits your home, the public consultations would have started.

By way of comparison, Huron Park is roughly 55 acres. At 41 acres this new park is a respectable size and will be one of the larger parks in Mississauga.

Public Consultations

Land assembly for new park check, demolition of structures on the acquired land check, pre-planning of park by city staff check, research and design of public consultations check and now it's time to do the public consultations!

I’d like to hear from you. I want this park to showcase your preferences and ideas. That is why I collaborated with City employees to develop a thorough consultation process. To ensure broad consultations we are going to conduct both in-person surveys and online surveys.  There are many ways to participate in the survey.  The survey began at the end of May and will end on June 30th.
